You do not improve your "competitive position" in a random game, seeing as there are no real goal, and no real winner.

Of course both are random, and that also means it can't be seen as "real" competition". Good luck finding a e-sport/other competition that consists of two completely RANDOM groups.
Haha, calling me a "really idiotic player" and then saying that you mean no offense? Funny really.

The thing is however at an AT the team is SYNCED with each other, which is not the case in a RANDOM setup.
how can being a random setup not be competitive? its a pvp game, every aspect of pvp is to be competitive whether you have 4 warriors or not, it still doesn't take away the competition to win.
and ra isn't about whether it qualifies for an e-sport or not(which obviously doesn't, thanks for pointing it out captain obvious) the point is to win when you are facing other players not to lose because you have an idiot which brings the team down.

In order for something to be real competitive both sides needs to have an even footing. This is not true if you have no power what so ever about how your team will look.

Would the WC in soccer be considered a real competition if all teams were randomly assigned a few minutes before each match?

I think what superraptors is trying to say is, being put in random teams and see which team works best, other peoples tactics, etc, is considered competitive because the fact that you must design a build that can ( for the most part) deal with casters/healers/and so on. Whether or not you can include everything in a build, most likely not, but the competition is based on who has more team work when in a random team, pitted against another team which is also random.

I farm JQ on my monk sometimes. I take the shortest juggernaught path and fall back / make haste the juggie, run it back and forth, and stand still healing the NPCs if under attack, and recapture the quarry with 16 smiting roj if it gets captured.

I could potentially get dishonoured for the most powerful game winning tactic in JQ now, that's just silly. Occassionally I can single handedly capture purple, then run to and capture green and get the green juggernaught back to base easily if the luxons don't have any defenders on the green quary. But I will be stood still for long periods of time watching and keeping the purple quary safe.

Move around every once in a while is not to much to ask if you are standing still for 10 min in a CM or in RA than you are being useless and there is something better you can be doing. Saying that the "the most powerful game winning tactic in JQ now" involves standing still for 10 min is kinda weird because its not true and the fact that you say it is a game winning tactic is "just silly". The only reason you can even do that is because the other team is probably all people who don't play/care/understand JQ and how it works or all bots. Capping empty shrines really isn't that impressive anyone can do that its hardly making you a "game winning" player.

In any event standing still for 10 min = being useless so imo you deserve dishonorable
